I am a ASE Certified master collision tech that left the industry more than 10 years ago. I had 15 years plus 4 years at Blue Hills votech. I left the business cause of lack of decent wages. I was wondering does your organizations ever talk about creating a law requiring auto body techs to be licensed much like a plumber or electrician? I truly believe if that law were enacted it would almost instantly drive the labor rates up therefore techs could earn more. Something to think about….. try a different approach.
