Our chapter of the AASP serves the independent auto repair industry in Massachusetts. Full-service, high-tech mechanical repair shops and auto collision repair shops make up the vast majority of our membership. Many of the finest auto repair companies in Massachusetts call AASP their trade association.
AASP’s work involves helping members improve the economic vitality of the auto repair industry as well as offering programs that help them improve their own business enterprises. These programs revolve around AASP’s “Education Matters” seminars and training events that offer practical instruction and informative discussions on issues that shop owners encounter every day.
In addition to our “Education Matters” program, AASP also maintains a vigorous legislative and regulatory agenda that helps create a better business environment for our members. Whether it’s promoting issues that are beneficial to the auto repair industry or working against bills or regulations that our industry’s opponents have proposed, our lobbyist and staff are ready to offer technical assistance to legislators or agency officials on all issues that affect its members.
AASP is led by a Board of Directors composed of volunteers from all areas of Massachusetts. These volunteers commit countless hours to meetings and travel so that the entire auto repair industry may benefit from their work. Most board members serve on committees on which they can use their unique experience and knowledge on particular topics. Overall, AASP’s board is a talented group of dedicated industry professionals that work together for the greater good of all auto repair firms.
