On May 2, 2018, one of the new heroes of the auto collision repair industry, Attorney Todd Tracy, will keynote our Spring Summit. Todd Tracy may seem an unlikely person when you consider he represented a consumer, insured by State Farm, against a dealership body shop and that shop lost to a staggering verdict of $42 million dollars!

From that case, Todd Tracy emerged with an incredible understanding of how insurers put auto collision professionals in the crosshairs when it comes to consumer protection and safety. He will outline detailed recommendations on how to protect yourself and your company from a similar result. From putting the right information about your company on your website, to documenting, in writing, with your customers, attempts by insurers to deviate from the OEM procedures.

He will further stress the importance of consistency in how you manage your business and your customers’ future safety. “This is a defining moment in your industry” said Tracy and it is… It validates the need for repairers to strictly adhere to OEM repair procedures, whether or not the insurer is willing to approve and pay for those procedures. Your loyalty is to the future safety of your consumer, and NO ONE should put you in the dangerous and libelous position of setting aside OEM mandates.

In Attorney Tracy’s case, his clients’ vehicle was struck, which resulted in serious injury to the occupants. After a thorough and costly investigation into the vehicle’s history, it was discovered that a previous owner had replaced the roof of the car after hail damage, but instead of welding the new roof in place, as required by Honda procedures, the roof was replaced by adhesive bonding. The subsequent accident in the vehicle resulted in complete separation of the improperly repaired roof. That decision cost the auto collision repairer $42 million dollars!

We are bringing Attorney Tracy right to your doorstep on May 2, 2018! Learn firsthand how you can be protected from these types of catastrophes. Learn how to reject the bullying tactics of insurers to cut costs, and instead to protect your customer and your company. “Never put your company’s profit over your customer’s safety,” said Tracy. Words to live by…

Our Spring Summit will open with a robust panel of technical advisors outlining the impact of OEM procedures on safety. This information is critical to your survival! Our seminar will run from 10 am until 12 noon, in an open discussion format. Following that program, Attorney Tracy will keynote our luncheon, and time for discussion is provided in that program, as well. The best advice you ever get is from other peers in your profession. Network, Learn, Implement… but you must ATTEND.
